Nissan Pivo Concept

The Nissan Pivo concept was demonstrated recently at Nissan’s Design Museum in Ginza, Tokyo.

Nissan Pivo features electric sliding doors and several cameras mounted outside the cabin. It’s one of the first cars with a spinning cockpit.

155 MPH Superbus, looks like limo

Researchers at Delft University of Technology in the Netherlands have developed a Superbus that looks like a futuristic stretch Limousine.

The Superbus is built as a public transportation as wide and long as a standard city bus but only 1.7m high (as high as an SUV) and can reach speeds of 250kph (155mph).

As the aerodynamic Superbus is too low for passengers inside to stand up, each of its 30-odd seats has a separate door.

Casa Linda Lace - the Wrought Iron Beetle

Casa Linda Lace is the name of a 1970’s Volkswagen Beetle in Calfiornia. Built in 1985, the Beetle’s body is made of wrought iron.

The Super Beetle body shape was chosen to give it a more modern appearance although it rests on a standard Beetle chassis. Four months of construction, 7000 welds, 2500 curly-cues (each of which took approx 50 hammer blows to shape) and the car was finished.
