As promised, T-Mobile is going to release the limited editions of Sidekick 3. Last time, they released the limited editions of Sidekick II, Juicy Couture and Mister Cartoon, and this time, the Sidekick 3 will get the Lifted Research Group (LRG) and Diane von Furstenberg designs.
The LRG’s design is the green motif while Diane, who was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) in June 2005, comes with black and red theme with a few shiny pink on buttons.

Samsung Trace or T519 from T-Mobile is a thin and light handset that features a 1.3-megapixel camera, MicroSD card slot for memory expansion, Bluetooth connectivity, EDGE and a music player.

It’s very SLVR-like - which is what T-Mo is going for here - and very inexpensive ($99). Unfortunately, it’s made of Samsung plastic and feels pretty chintzy but if you’re looking for something to slip between the pages of a book to hold your place, you can’t go wrong with this thin Lizzie.

Gizmodo’s reader, Abe has got an email response from T-Mobile Sidekick support to confirm that there will be some Limited Edition stuffs in a few weeks. If this is true, then it’s the Sidekick III Limited Editions that will come on October 9th, 2006 with the price of $399 according to the leaked Timeline, posted by Gizmodo last year (see below picture).

Engadget Mobile and Laptop Magazine have got their hands on the upcoming Sidekick III, which will be publicly released on July 10th this year. The Sidekick 3 features a 2.6-inch display (240 x 160 pixels, 65,000 colors), 1.3 megapixel camera, QWERTY keypad, Bluetooth, SD card slot, built-in MP3 player, integrated AIM/MSN/Yahoo Messengers, and 64MB SDRAM/64MB Flash. It measures 5.1 x 2.3 x 0.9 inches (which is about 20% smaller than Sidekick II) and weighs 6.7 ounces.

T-Mobile has unveiled the official picture of Sidekick III (as seen below). The model is almost the same with Sidekick II. But T-Mobile has not yet announced when the official lauch date will be.
