LG has announced the new LG KB1800, a mobile phone that doubles as a TV. The phone can receive DMB (Digital Multimedia Broadcast).

The DMB phone has a screen that allows better viewing at different angles, whether indoors or outdoors and also comes with Mobile XD Engine for better video quality and USB out, so you can watch TV on your computer via USB.

It is a programmable, remote-controlled solution to eliminate glare and reflection by enabling user to adjust the tilt, swivel and telescopic functions of the robotic arm, while remaining seated.

The suggested retail price for CLO Systems X-Arm is $1,995.

Sanyo is developing a 7.1-inch LCD panel with full HDTV resolution at 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, while other manufacturers are trying to make bigger and bigger HD screens.

Well, at least it’s good to know that when bandwidth and hard-disk capacity get to the point where it’ll be easy to download and copy HD content to a portable video player, the screens will be ready and waiting.

Other features remain the same - 800 x 600 pixels resolution, speakers, on/off power, volume, channel adjustment, analog TV tuner and remote control. It measures 355×115×420mm and weighs 7kg.
