USBCeLL – Batteries that Recharge via USB Port
September 26th, 2006
This is a breakthrough in battery technology. The USBCeLL batteries look like normal batteries at a glance. Yes, you can use the USBCeLL like any other batteries, but one thing that makes them different is that they recharge via USB port – you don’t need separate recharging devices, cradles or cables for that.

As long as there is a USB port, you can recharge the USBCeLL batteries.
USBCeLL AA NiMH model will be first to hit the market and will cost for about $24 for a two-pack, while other models, including 9V, AAA, C and D converter shells for the AAs, packs for cellphones, digital cameras and other portable devices are to be released in the near future.
