Nokia 6230i Hacked to Become a Bluetooth Mouse

Inspired by the LogiNoki mouse that has built-in LCD display, a friend at Pyrofers hacked his own Nokia 6230i camera phone and turned it into a Bluetooth Mouse.

He uses the camera of the Nokia phone as tracking device, while Bluetooth interface is used to communicate with the PC or notebook. Apparently, there are still some issues making the phone really usable as a mouse replacement. The biggest issue is that you have to hold the mouse about 6mm above the surface. If the phone lies flat on the surface, the camera just sees darkness and as a temporary solution, he just hold the phone about .6cm above the pad to let light in the side.
