Sharp LumiWall – the Solar Glass that Lights Up at Night
July 31st, 2006
Sharp is developing the LumiWall which has thin-film solar panels inside the glass to store energy during the day and transform into an illuminated array of white LEDs in the night.

It’s like a transparent battery that gets charged by the sun. LumiWalls won’t really generate much electricity for your house — the aim here is to create an aesthetically-pleasing, self-contained illumination device.
The Sharp LumiWall will be available to public in 2007.
