Sony Computer Entertainment America announced at a press conference in Los Angeles that Playstation 3 (PS3) will be launched in North America on November 17th, and November 11th, 2006 in Japan.

The Sony PS3 will initially be available in two “Clear Black” configurations — a $499 model with a 20GB hard drive and a $599 model with a 60GB hard drive.
