BenQ-Siemens EL71 Slider Phone
March 11th, 2006
BenQ Mobile announced BenQ-Siemens EL71 slider phone at CeBIT 2006. It’s ultra-slim, only 16.5mm thick! EL71 has the ergonomic design of keypad combined with the ProSLIDE semi-automatic slider mechanism to make it user-friendly. With only a slight push, the top and the underside of the mobile phone glide gently apart.
The camera is 1.3 megapixels with a flash and will do video, it has Bluetooth, takes microSD cards and will play MP3s and AAC files. The Music Cable IHM-100 accessory lets you plug it into any hifi system and play your music over speakers, so maybe you wouldn’t bring your iPod around so much anymore.

This high-class design is rounded off by the brilliant 2-inch QVGA display that glows in 262,144 colors and supplies excellent quality in text and photo replay. Whether inside or outdoors, the EL71’s high-grade display can always be read perfectly in all light conditions.
The BenQ-Siemens EL71 will be available on the market in April 2006 in the color “Quartz Anthracite†and will also be available shortly thereafter in the color “Opal Black.†Price will be determined locally.
